In this interactive, you will meet the eight highly committed members of the Core Team who led the highly successful enterprise level implementation of PebblePad at Griffith University. Through deep collaboration with the Key Supporters and the Innovators, the Core Team facilitated success through an innovative implementation model of educational technology in higher education. The model, based on shared governance and cross-unit sharing, provided cultural and operational buy-in for the use of PebblePad.

The Core Team members are highly skilled and experienced professionals, assembled to facilitate the successful implementation of PebblePad, Griffith University's personal learning platform. Each member was selected based on the specific skills and knowledge needed for the project, many of which are listed here:

  • Expertise in the design and delivery of training of staff and students in the use of new technologies and pedagogies
  • Expertise in the design of learning experiences that drive engagement and learning
  • Expertise in production of videos for learning and teaching
  • Proven success in Agile project management
  • Deep knowledge of the PebblePad platform
  • Expertise in the design of student learning experiences and resources that drive engagement and learning
  • Expertise liaising with multiple stakeholders and leadership to secure on-going support and championship across all levels of the University
  • Proven experience in the evaluation of technologies to enhance student learning
  • Skilled in providing on-demand and proactive technical support to all levels of users through video, documentation and consultation
  • Expertise in the logistics coordination of training for staff and students.

  • Provide guidance in the technical and pedagogical implementation of PebblePad via the ePortfolio Working Party
  • Voice the needs of their unit to ensure they were addressed
  • Support academics in the creation of PebblePad learning experiences for their students
  • Collaborate on the development of support resources for staff and students
  • Share learnings and resources in support of efficiency and quality.

For the first year of the implementation, a group of academic innovators was formed. The Core Team supported these innovators through workshops, educational design services, a comprehensive collection of online resources and on-going communications.
